Details: This video looks at general safety techniques in the kitchen including the handling of knives, the importance of keeping the work area clean, avoiding steam burns and others.  Cleaning up various spills such as grease and water are demonstrated and avoiding injuries by having the floor clear is stressed.  The importance of keeping preventative items on hand at all times such as fire extinguishers and first-aid kits is also presented.
