Details: This video looks at the many different kinds of single parenting families prevalent today. It also explores the common feelings generated in children as members of single parent families. Emphasizing understanding and listening skills, the show encourages parents to understand there is a grieving process for the child whether the loss is through divorce or through death. It also encourages respect for the child's feelings for the relationship with the other parent in the separation/divorce process. The need for structure, rules, parent free time and other male/female role models are also discussed. Length: 15-20 minutes.
