Details: The tragedy of families led by parents who fall more in love with drugs than with kids is described by Native American football star Sammy Moore in real-life terms:  parents so caught up in buying drugs they don't pay the heat bills, they sell Christmas presents, kids wear the same clothes to school all year long, kids allowed to drink and smoke at a young age, kids that have to go to grandparents because there is no food in their own house, etc., kids growing up not respecting parents and authority figures, but still, deep down inside, wanting the love that is lacking.  Messing up mentally is the mask and protection that keeps kids away from finding and keeping their dreams.
